The Prime Time Teleplay Competition
Austin Film Festival 2002: October 11-17
Deadline for Submission: Postmarked by June 15, 2002 (Extended
Deadline)
Primetime Teleplay Competition
This year, with the launching
of the AFF's Distinguished Television Writer Award, we are
proud to also announce the Austin Film Festival's Prime Time
Contest. The intention of the television contest is to provide
a window for producers that will help them discover exciting,
talented writers. For years, the AFF has acknowledged the
tremendous writing talents working in the television medium
by providing panels with writers from "King of the Hill" to
"Drew Carey", and even by having special screenings, including
a Robert Altman television retrospective. We feel that this
contest will celebrate television while allowing new writers
a new forum to showcase their talents.
